Clean, modern, handcrafted minimalism.
Tala Kamea began sewing as a teenager, under the guidance of my mama + lola. It became one of her preferred forms of artistic expression while growing up. She would rework vintage, experiment with dyeing + stencil painting, and alter patterns to suit her design needs. Eventually she decided to pursue her hobby as a career. She creates garments that are easy to wear, versatile, and fit a variety of bodies while featuring interesting silhouettes, design details, and textiles.
What is your inspiration?
My designs are often inspired by the natural world and geometry, music and motion, and emphasize an approach that is simple, yet powerful.
