BTS with a Blogger Extraordinaire – The Noteworthys

BTS with a Blogger Extraordinaire

Posted: Feb 06 2016

We were super excited to chat with Fashion and lifestyle blogger extraordinaire Casie Stewart of who took us behind the scenes of her blogger lifestyle! She's created advertising campaigns, influencer outreach campaigns and directed commercials - all while travelling around the world!

Why do you love what you do?
I love what I do because it's a career I created for myself. I studied marketing at college (Contestoga College) and International Business at university (in Australia) and I've always had a love for marketing/advertising on a global scale. I started my blog as a way to keep more memories and document my life, that was back in 2005 before blogging took off and social media happened.

The best advice you've ever received.
"Life is about building relationships". Good relationships will take you a long way.

Also, when I was a kid, mum said "just because you don't have money, doesn't mean you can't compete, you just have to be more creative". She's always embraced my creativity and I'm forever thankful for that confidence.

Cool things you've experienced through blogging.

Virgin America - In 2010 I won a massive YouTube content hosted by Richard Branson & Virgin America to find an ambassador to represent the worlds loudest and sexiest airline. I met RB, travelled with Virgin, and got to give away a bunch of flights to people in Toronto via social media.

New Zealand Fashion Week -
I was flown to NZ as an international influencer to attend NZFW where I had an assistant for the week and was driven around to events. It was an incredible experience where I met heaps of great people.

Cabo Adventure -
I've recently returned from a great week full of adventure in Cabo with Sunwing and Los Cabos tourism where I went surfing, SUP boarding (stand up paddle), snorkelling, and seadooing

What does "noteworthy" mean to you?
To me, Noteworthy means something you want to remember. I really cherish memories and write 'noteworthy' things down everyday.

One thing people don't know about you.
I did ballet for 10 years from the age of 3. Dance was a huge part of my life growing up and contributes largely to my discipline, determination, and organization. I started competing at 5yo and won medals in NY and Myrtle Beach. I've always loved being on stage!

Favourite fashion event.
I love offsite shows during fashion week. They're full of creativity and usually at cool places. I quite enjoy the Queen's Plate at Woodbine Racetrack (Toronto), it's the middle of summer and everyone gets dressed up in beautiful dresses and big hats. It's super fun!

Social media advice for emerging designers.
Don't set it and forget it. Be active and engage with your audience. There's nothing worse then going to check a brand/designer on Twitter/IG and seeing they haven't updated in a while or they don't interact with customers, influencers, other brands.
